Located in the south central region of Oregon and bordering northern California, Klamath Falls sits on the southern shore of the Upper Klamath Lake, nestled in the Klamath Basin on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains. Klamath Falls enjoys nearly 300 days of sunshine each year.

The City of Klamath Falls, seat of Klamath County, has a population of approximately 19,000 within the City limits, with an additional 25,000+ population in the surrounding urban growth boundary.

Klamath Falls Downtown Urban Redevelopment Advisory Committee

The "Downtown Urban Redevelopment Advisory Committee" (DURAC) is made up of members of groups and organizations representing a variety of interests for revitalizing the downtown commercial core.  The Committee helps ensure that projects and programs recommended in the Klamath Falls Downtown Plan are completed in a timely and coordinated manner.  Such improvements have enhanced the downtown's viability as a regional center and destination for shopping, living, government services, and cultural and historical activities.

Klamath Basin Ecosystem Restoration Office

The Klamath Basin Ecosystem Restoration Office is a section of the Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Its primary goal is restoring the form and function of the Klamath Basin ecosystem. Habitat restoration efforts focus on coordination, long-range planning, on-the-ground restoration projects and outreach.

The Klamath Basin Audubon Society (KBAS) is an inclusive, community-based organization that promotes a conservation ethic and enjoyment of the natural environment through educational and interactive programs. KBAS seeks to attract increased participation of new and existing members. The group promotes knowledge and appreciation of our local environment to our members and to the general public of all ages. KBAS provides local leadership in achieving full regard for the environmental consequences of the choices that we all make both as individuals and as a society. The KBAS activities maximize the long-term resolve of the people of the Klamath Basin area to actively defend and restore the biodiversity, biocomplexity and natural beauty of our native habitats.

Favell Museum of Western Art and Indian Artifacts
